Mission Statement
We are dedicated to advocating for and practicing Inclusive Heathenry. Individuals and groups may practice using any or some of the following terms: Asatru, Vanatru, Forn Sed, Fyrnsidu, Germanic Neo-paganism, or Norse Pagan (among others).
Anyone who subscribes to Nazi/Neo-Nazi or white supremacist philosophies is not welcome in our spaces.
We believe that all who hear the call of the gods, goddesses, elves, and wights are welcome to join us regardless of ethnicity, affectional preferences, gender identity, disabilities, or any other trait.
Although the Heathen Freehold is primarily headquartered in British Columbia, we are building our community across Canada. We welcome you to join us at our next public event near you. You can also join us on our Discord by directly messaging us for the link.
Our Practices / Our Customs
We are not an Orthodoxic religion, we don’t care what you believe. We don’t have a single textbook dictating our beliefs and behaviours. We are an Orthopraxic religion, we care how you act. Personal integrity and hospitality hold far more meaning than dogma or correctness of belief.
We hold our annual Althing in British Columbia, with occasional rituals held online on our Discord.
